Frequently Asked Questions
This course helps students in all ways such as developing technical skills, soft skills, and analytical skills to be at the forefront of the booming Computer, IT, Mobile, Cloud & Security markets. Computers & Mobiles are driving the world of technology, finance, medicine, research, space exploration, social work and many more. By pursuing B.Tech. (CSE) they will be equipped to handle most complex of problems and create innovative software solutions for them.
With the increase in number of Smartphones, social media and micro-payments, people are exposed to real-time treats in the virtual/cyber space. There are intruders, hackers, identity thieves and online bullies who make the life of innocent citizens miserable, threaten the security of establishments, and even risk national security. The B.Tech. CSE with Specialization in Cyber Security program trains a student to not only deal with such problems but also trains them to design secure systems, prevent and defend against attacks, and catch cyber criminals if they attack.
In most daily use Computer Software/mobile Apps/Website we see Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) in use. The facial recognition on your phone, automated financial advisor who tells you how much and where to save your income, the recommendation system on Online shopping/Video Streaming/Food Delivery Apps, the Ticket confirmation probability on IRCTC, etc. all use AI and ML. The usage of AI and ML are much more behind-the-scenes than they are in front of us and are growing rapidly. AI and ML experts are collaborating with Doctors for better diagnosis, with pharmacists to formulate better drugs, with scientists to understand the behaviour of climate, with historians to recreate the historical times.
These are THE future of technology. No matter what field you choose, you will come across extensive use of software and computers in them. It is one thing to know how to use them, and it is a different thing to know how to build them. Computer Scientists get to work with the most varied set of people across different domains. Because of this they gain deep insights into different fields which help them excel in those fields as well.
There are plenty of job opportunities for CSE/CS-CS/CSE-AI+ML professionals in the country and abroad, in government organizations to private ones. Most importantly this is one field where you can create your own start-up/business with a brilliant idea backed by a great execution plan and a laptop!
