Planting the saplings in “Meri Maati Mera Desh” Campaign under National Service Scheme

Prof. H.N. Verma was invited by the School of Agriculture Science, Jaipur National University for an activity Plantingthe saplings in “Meri Maati Mera Desh” Campaign under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav through National Service Scheme uniton 12nd August, 2023. Total numbers of Participants were 93.

In the beginning, Prof. R.K.Bansal, Director, School of Agricultural Sciences, introduced the Guest, Dr. H.N. Vermaand addressed a welcome note including all the faculty and students.

The talk of Dr. Verma started with what is role of plantation for the environment. He planted a sapling of plant in horticultural orchard, SOAS, JNU, Jaipur and Prof R.L. Raina also planted a sampling of plant. After that NSS volunteers and students of B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture were planted all the remaining plant saplings in horticulture orchard and main campusand during this activity total 75 saplings were planted viz., jamun-05, mango-20 ((Dasheri- 10 and Kesar-10), Guava (pink)-10, beal-05, neem-05, amaltash-10 and red gulmohar-20.

At the end Dr. Ajeet Singh, addressed the vote of thanks.
