On the 2nd of February 2024, the students of B.Tech. Food Technology embarked on a journey of enriching experience by attending the Jaipur Nutrifest and Innovator Summit 2024 at Jawahar Kala Kendra & Shilpgram in Jaipur. This event proved to be a unique platform offering valuable insights into innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship within the dynamic field of food and nutrition. Serving as a meeting ground for visionaries shaping the industry's future, the summit promised a comprehensive exploration of the latest trends and breakthroughs.

Key Highlights:

Alumni Interaction - Mr. Kunal Bhatt (2014-18 Batch): A highlight of the visit was the opportunity for B.Tech. Food Technology students to meet Mr. Kunal Bhatt, an esteemed Alumni from the 2014-18 batch. Mr. Bhatt is an entrepreneur who founded the organic food company "Green Grove Organic." His product range includes more than 150 products based on organic source of food. Student tasted and tried few of their offered products like organic jaggery, mayonnaise and fruit jam. His insights and journey served as an inspiration for the current students, offering real-world perspectives on entrepreneurship in the food industry.

Exhibitor Stalls - K D Organic and Sunrise Agri land Development: Students visited stalls such as K D Organic, showcasing millet-based cookies, providing exposure to the innovative products in the market. They also explored the offerings of Sunrise Agriland Development and Research Centre, witnessing products like stevia leaves, stevia powder, tablets, and sachets.

Innovative Concepts - Dr. B. Lal Clinical Laboratory: The students observed the innovative concept of Dr. B. Lal Clinical Laboratory's waste management system. The self-generative dustbins for households and industries demonstrated a commitment to sustainable practices in waste management.

The visit broadened the students' understanding of the latest developments in food technologies, organic farming, and urban farming innovations.
