Jaipur Heritage Visit to City Palace and Jantar Mantar

The School of Fashion Design, Jaipur National University organized an educational visit titled “City Palace and Jantar Mantar Educational Visit” on 24th January 2026 in Jaipur. The programme aimed to provide students with practical exposure to heritage architecture, traditional craftsmanship, and their influence on fashion and design.Students from B.Sc. Fashion Design, Diploma in Fashion Design, and MBA in Fashion Design participated enthusiastically. They explored the architectural beauty of City Palace Jaipur and the astronomical structures of Jantar Mantar Jaipur, observing motifs, patterns, and design elements.A key highlight was a handloom and craft exhibition at City Palace under the patronage of Diya Kumari, showcasing traditional textiles, crafts, and artisanal work from different regions of India.The visit enhanced students’ understanding of heritage aesthetics and inspired them to connect traditional craft practices with contemporary fashion design.
