‘Young Readers and Writers Club’: Discussion on Film Adaptation

The Young Readers and Writers Club at Jaipur National University organized an insightful discussion on Film Adaptation on March 29, 2025. Students analyzed the transformation of Chetan Bhagat’s novel Half Girlfriend into a film, comparing key plot elements and character portrayals. 57 students engaged in discussions on filmmaking, dialogue, and artistic storytelling. Prof. Sujit Shrivastava served as the judge, emphasizing the role of language in personality development. The event fostered analytical skills in reference to character portrayal, plot building, theme development, and how visual elements enhance or detract from the novel.
