Inter - School Crafting Competition on Innovative Utilization of Waste Materials for Sustainable Environment
Sep 13, 2025
The activity on “Inter-School Crafting Competition on Innovative Utilization of Waste Materials for Sustainable Environment” was organized by Go Green Eco Green Club, School Of Agricultural Sciences, Jaipur National University, Jaipur (Raj.) on 13th September, 2025 (Saturday). The competition aimed to foster creativity, encourage sustainable practices, and provide a platform for students to showcase their talent in converting waste into wealth. A total of 68 participants from different Schools of Jaipur National University enthusiastically took part in the competition. Each participant/group was required to prepare innovative craft items using waste materials such as paper, plastic bottles, cardboard, old cloth, and other recyclable items. This format allowed maximum creativity within a limited time frame. The participants showcased remarkable creativity by designing items such as wall décor, multipurpose containers, stationery holders, flower vases, and utility products— all made from waste. The event reflected the participants’ commitment towards environmental sustainability, innovation, and responsible resource management. After careful evaluation, the results were declared as follows:
Winner: School of Agricultural Sciences, 1st Runner-up: School of Commerce and Management and 2nd Runner-up: School of Allied Health Sciences (BPT). The results were announced by Dr. Kapil Pal, Associate Professor (Invited Resource Person & Chairperson of the Judgement Committee) and Prof. (Dr.) R. K. Bansal, Director, School of Agricultural Sciences, which added prestige and encouragement for the participants.
