School of Engineering and Technology (SOET) organized an internal hackathon event on September 13, 2025. A hackathon was a time-bound event where teams of students worked together to create a prototype or finished product. The goal was to design, build, and present an innovative solution to a problem suggested by various departments of the Indian government. Hackathons are important for a number of reasons, including learning, networking, teamwork, mentorship, innovation, prototyping and presentation, exposure, critical thinking and entrepreneurial spirit. In this event, 54 teams comprising a total of 324 participants presented their innovative ideas in a physical mode. Through a rigorous evaluation process the top three teams were rewarded.
