A webinar was organized by the School of Life and Basic Sciences for postgraduate students on 9 March, 2024. 20 Students participated in the webinar. The speaker Mr. Dixit Kumar Patel, Executive QA, Lambda Therapeutic Research, Ahmedabad, enlightened the students regarding the role of GLP in various industries such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, chemicals, cosmetics, and food additives, where accurate and reliable data is essential for regulatory submissions and decision-making processes. He discussed Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) as an essential skill for ensuring the quality, reliability, and integrity of non-clinical laboratory studies. By providing a standardized framework for study conduct, documentation, and data management, GLP helps to ensure the safety and efficacy of products while facilitating regulatory compliance and decision-making processes. Mr. Patel also stated that Adherence to GLP is essential for organizations operating in industries where accurate and reliable data are paramount.The webinar was a great success and was concluded with a vote of thanks from Dr. Juhi Sharma. All the students requested for such events in future.
