FIELD VISIT FOR “Herbal Garden”

School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, JNU Jaipur, organized a herbal garden visit with the collaboration of National Institute of Ayurveda (NIA) Jaipur, under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.
The herbal garden spans a large area and houses over 106 species of medicinal plants. The garden is meticulously maintained and categorized based on its therapeutic applications. Plants are labeled with their botanical names, Sanskrit names, common names, and key medicinal uses, making it an educational resource for visitors.
We had the opportunity to interact with Dr. Sumit Nathani (Department of Dravyaguna) practitioners at the institute. He explained the cultivation techniques, soil requirements, and the ecological significance of these plants. Discussions also covered the importance of preserving endangered medicinal species.
