The School of Media Studies organized Special Lecture on “The Role of Rural Journalism in Empowering Local Communities", by Mr. Amit Baijnath Garg, Sr. Rural Journalist on 06 September 2024 for BAJMC and MAJMC. This lecture will be focus on how rural journalism helps in raising awareness about local issues, promoting social change, and empowering rural communities. The students learnt about the fundamental differences between urban and rural journalism and challenges face by the journalists such as lack of resources, limited access to technology, and difficulties in reaching remote areas.
