Expert Talk on Life Skills (Health Segment) in Food Technology on “Eat to Beat Cancer”

On August 24, 2024, the Department of Food Technology organized an insightful expert talk session on the topic "Eat to Beat Cancer: Uncovering the Power of Nutrients in Cancer Risk Reduction." The session was led by Dr. Krishna Aayush, Assistant Professor at the School of Bio Engineering and Food Technology, Shoolini University. This session was specifically designed for the B.Tech. Food Technology students. Dr. Aayush began the session by highlighting the critical role of diet in cancer prevention. He delved into the various type of foods that can significantly reduce the risk of cancer, emphasizing the importance of incorporating a variety of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains into daily meals. Dr. Aayush pointed out the anti-carcinogenic properties of certain foods and the essential nutrients that help in minimizing cancer risks.
