Book Discussion Competition “Lost in books and loving it”

The 'Young Readers and Writers Club' held a “Book Discussion Competition” on Pandit Shri Lal Shukla’s works on August 17, 2024, at the SOET Auditorium. Participants focused on his satirical novel Raag Darbari and other notable works such as Makaan and Sooni Ghaati ka Sooraj. Judges, Prof. Rishikesh Mishra and Prof. Vishnu Sharma, announced the results with Vaibhav Sharma securing first place. Mustafa, Lucky Tiwari, and Deepak Baderiya were also recognized. Prof. Rita Arora delivered a vote of thanks.
Fifty students participated, discussing themes of patriarchy and societal absurdities. The event fostered an interest in reading and understanding rural life and satire in the education system.
