Aatithya - 2024 (15th & 16th March)

“School of Hotel Management and Catering Technology” has been pro-active to impart the Hospitality knowledge to its students and to provide a common learning platform. Aatithya 2024 was organized by SHMCT on 15th and 16thMarch 2024. Dr. Sandeep Bakshi Chancellor of Jaipur National University motivated the participants with inaugural note and said that industry is now well poised towards advancements in Hospitality. With more than 15 teams participating from all the corners of the country Like AIHM-Haldwani, CAI-Hyderabad, SHM-Dev Bhoomi, Uttarakhand, FCI- Aligarh, Quantum University-Roorkee, Amity Jaipur and some other Institutes from Jaipur. Teams participated in various competitions like “Twigs and Towels”, “Jigger v/s Pony”, “Lazzat-e-Khas”, “Décor de Patisserie” and “Quizzeria” in core areas of Hospitality.

Executive Director, Dr Preeti Bakshi during Prize Distribution encouraged creativity and stated that the competition has leveraged participants to showcase their talent. Two days event witnessed Industry stalwarts like, Mr Amit Kumar, Mr Manish Patel and Mr Narenderfrom Hotel Holiday Inn, Ms Nibedita and Mr Ritesh from Hotel Hilton Jaipur City Center, Master Chef Imran Khan, Corporate Chef Shailesh From Ananta hotels, Chef Siddharth and chef Bhanupratap from Taj Group of Hotels etc to judge various events and to provide valuable insights intheir area of expertise to the students. The rolling trophy was won by Culinary Academy of India, Hyderabad apart from event wise winners and runners.

All the participating teams expressed their happiness, contentment of extreme Hospitality by students of SHMCT. Director of the School, Dr. Ajeet Kr. Singh, proposed vote of thanks and organized a short cultural trip of Jaipur for the participating teams.
