Role of NSS Volunteers for Public Welfare and their Experiences

Internal Quality Assurance Cell and the School of Education, Jaipur National University, successfully organized a one-day webinar on the theme “Role of NSS volunteers for public welfare and their experiences”, on the occasion of NSS day on 24th September, 2021. Prof. Kamala Vashisth, Director, School of Education, told the students about the journey of NSS and its activities held at the School of Education. Prof. Rita Arora, Research Advisor, School of Education, put forward her valuable views, on the role of youth, and the significance of NSS in the country's development. Prof. Anshu Bhatia, Senior Deputy Director, SOE, guided the students how they could contribute for social welfare with maximum efforts. Prof. Meenu Singh, Program officer, NSS, praised the efforts of the volunteers to organize the event on a very short notice, and inspired others to join NSS programmes.

Many NSS volunteers put forward their views and experiences, regarding NSS. Surbhi Gupta welcomed all speakers and attendees. Om Prakash and Divyanshi Paliwal shared their experiences of National integration camp held at Kangra, Himachal Pradesh and Jaipur, Rajasthan, respectively. Shubham Tiwari highlighted the history of NSS with the students of SOE. Shubham Jain put forward his views on “Role of NSS volunteers in post-pandemic phase”.

At the end of event, all the attendees stood in respect of NSS anthem “Uthe Samaaj ke liye, Uthe, Uthe.” It created the feeling of pride in them for the NSS, and for the nation. It was a very enlightening and fruitful event for all the attendees.
