Prof. V K Baranwal, Renowned Plant Virologist (Indian Agriculture Research Institute, PUSA, New Delhi) delivered a talk on “ Innovations In Diagnosis of Plant Viruses” on 7 August 2021. He told about various new technologies and innovations which are being used in diagnosis of plant viruses. The talk was found very useful in knowing the role of PCR based advanced techniques in parallel detection of more than two viruses. He also briefed the students regarding the requirement of basic research. Total 121 participants were present.
