Two year Master of Education (M.Ed.) Programme is a two-year professional programme in the field of Teacher Education that aims at preparing teacher educators and other education professionals including curriculum developers, educational system analysers, school planners, school administrators, educational supervisors, school principals and educational research consultants. The completion of the programme shall lead to M.Ed. degree with specialization either in elementary education (up to class VIII) or in secondary education) classes VI-XII).

Two year M.Ed. Programme is designed to provide opportunities for students to extend as well as deepen their knowledge and understanding of Education, specialize in select areas, and also develop research capacities, leading to specialization in either elementary education or secondary education. To develop prospective teacher educators skills related to the independent study of literature, research, academic writing, professional communication and team work. It should also endeavour to develop in the future practitioners a deep and critical awareness of professional ethics and an ability to critically engage in and reflect on practice.

Applying for Admissions 2022-23

For B.Ed- This course is specially designed for prospective teachers in schools of all levels. For M.Ed- This course is designed for future teacher educators. They get job in Teacher training institutions.

This course is mandatory for Ph.D. & M.Phil Programmes in education.

For B.Ed.- Graduation in any stream with Min.50% (reservation as per Govt.Norms.) For M.Ed.- B.Ed with Min.55% aggregate (reservation as per Govt.Norms.)
