For B.Ed- This course is specially designed for prospective teachers in schools of all levels. For M.Ed- This course is designed for future teacher educators. They get job in Teacher training institutions.
This course is mandatory for Ph.D. & M.Phil Programmes in education.
For B.Ed.- Graduation in any stream with Min.50% (reservation as per Govt.Norms.) For M.Ed.- B.Ed with Min.55% aggregate (reservation as per Govt.Norms.)
The M.Ed. (Master of Education) is a postgraduate degree focused on advanced teaching methodologies, educational leadership, curriculum design, and educational research, preparing students for leadership roles in education.
To apply for M.Ed., candidates must have a B.Ed. degree with a minimum percentage (usually 50-55%) from a recognized institution. Some universities may also require an entrance exam.
Admission through Pre-M.Ed Eligibility Test (PMET) conducted by Government Nodal Agency.
The M.Ed. programme generally lasts for two years, divided into four semesters.
Graduates of M.Ed. can work as education administrators, school principals, teacher educators, policy makers, and researchers in educational institutions and organizations.
