Highlights of the Department

The Department of Anatomy has ultramodern facilities that meet all the requirements of postgraduate learning. All the laboratories and Dissection Hall at one of the best MD in Anatomy Colleges in Jaipur, are air conditioned and equipped with a full set of audio-visual facilities.

Departmental Infrastructure

  • Histology Practical Lab, Dissection Hall, Lecture Hall, Library cum seminar room, Demonstration rooms, Research Laboratory, Museum, Cold room, Embalming room.
  • Our Histology lab is equipped with 150 monocular & binocular microscopes, charts, Slide & LCD Projector, Interactive board.
  • Departmental museum, situated at one of the best MD in Anatomy Colleges in Jaipur, has 450 wet specimens, 300 dry models, 300 charts, 15 skeletons and 10 sets of disarticulated bones. Department is also having 2 demonstration rooms, 9 tanks for storing cadavers.
  • The Histology and PG research lab is equipped with a fluorescent microscope with TV and Camera. Labs at one of the best MD in Anatomy Colleges in Jaipur, are also equipped with anthropometric instruments, automatic tissue processor and microtome.

Academic & Research

  • Teaching of anatomy is accomplished by way of lectures and demonstrations by using audiovisual aids. The lectures are divided into Gross Anatomy, Developmental Anatomy, Osteology, Clinical Anatomy, Neuroanatomy, Histology, Radiology & Surface anatomy, and Genetics.
  • Practical training by dissections and conducting seminars, journal club, guest lectures & CME for Post Graduates are held at one of the best MD in Anatomy Colleges in Jaipur, to impart interdisciplinary nature of anatomy.
  • Goal of the department is to produce excellence in the field of Histology, Osteology, Dermatoglyphic, Gross Anatomy, Neuroanatomy, development of Clinical and functional anatomy, biological anthropology, cell biology and cytogenetics.
  • Cadaveric workshops organized by the department in collaboration with Plastic Surgery, Urology & ENT

Facilities

  • Department is also encouraging for voluntary body donation programme
  • Providing Embalming facilities for transportation of bodies.

Future plan

  • To develop a cytogenetic lab and conduct workshops for embalming, plastination and tissue processing.
