OBJECTIVE OF SESSION: To provide an exposure to students about processing and packaging of bread and other bakery products along with the use of equipment and machineries in Bread industry.
1. Give exposure about Bakery processing and manufacturing division
2. Visualization & learning about the emerging trends in the area of bread preparation collection, dispatching, Quality inspection and processing technologies etc.
3. Awareness about companies working in the field of automation, sanitization and packaging of bakery products.
Students visited Tulsyan Foods (Britannia Bread manufacturing plant) on 27 January 2023 at Sitapura Industrial Area, Jaipur where they got the knowledge about manufacturing of bread making. They learnt that bread is prepared by using various steps i.e. making the mix, kneading the mix, cutting the mix, molding, proofing, baking, packaging, storage and dispatch. They had been demonstrated about the working of mixer, oven, proofing & cooling chamber and bread slicer section. The company was started in year 1999 with the manufacturing of white bread, brown bread, buns, pao, rusk and other bakery products. The annual turnover of the company is approximately 2 crores at present. Tulsyan Foods Pvt. Ltd. is known for its quality bakery products throughout Rajasthan and Delhi as they are specialist for manufacturing of different varieties of a single product. Tulsyan Foods Pvt. Ltd. has signed a contract with Britannia Foods Ltd. for manufacturing the bakery products for them in Rajasthan and NCR region.
Overall, it was good learning experience by both faculty members and students.
