An industrial visit is vital for any student undergoing professional education in HMCT to have a first hand experience of the programme. An industrial visit is the way to help Hotel management student, to get acquainted with and co-ordinate with what they learnt in their professional institutes. These visits can be very useful to hotel management students in terms of getting practical knowledge and real experiences as hospitality professionals.

The School of HMCT organized a one-day Industrial visit for the students of BHMCT+MBA, B.Sc (H & HA) and BHMCT+MBA/BHMCT/B.Sc(H&HA) to ‘The Lalit, Jaipur’, to get an insight into the internal working environment of the hotel industry. 26 students participated in the visit. Initially there was an orientation session of ‘FAM (Familiarization)’ conducted by eminent personality Mr. Sumit Vishwas (Corporate Acquisition Manager), General Manager. Then students visited ‘Front of House Department’ which includes different category of rooms like the Presidential suite, Deluxe rooms, Lobby area, etc., and ‘Heart of the House department’ which includes Laundry, Kitchen, Bakery, etc. of the hotel under the supervision of Mr. Gaurav Shankar (Resident Manager), Unit General Manager. The visit proved to be an opportunity to learn Administration and Departmental operations of the real world.
