Jaipur National University in collaboration with Jaipur Police and the Nirbhaya Squad conducted a Self-defense Workshop, at the University campus on August 24, 2022, for students to make women self-reliant and confident. The workshop was presided by Dr. Rana Zaidi (HOD, School of Languages Literature and Society, JNU) who heartily inaugurated the workshop by inviting Ms. Suneeta Meena (Additional DCP and Nodal Officer, Nirbhaya Squad) and her team to equip the youth with self-defense training.

The squad has several accolades and awards to its credit in controlling harassment and public offences against women. The women officers patrol the city in roaring groups, helping those in need for security. Their patriotism, determination and unity, became a big attraction and inspiration for the attendees of the workshop.

Tips to ensure safety, both online and offline, were shared by Ms. Suneeta. Furthermore, the team demonstrated self-defense tactics for everyone to learn and deploy. Students and faculty members, were interactively involved in the session and the aura ignited an assurance of safety for all civilians by the Jaipur Police. More than 200 students participated and took this basic training on different techniques of Self Defense.
