Girl Child Day

On January 25, 2023, the English Department hosted a joyful, educational, and engaging celebration of Vasant Panchami, which celebrated the advent of spring season. Students from the School of Languages, Literature, and Society organised the event, which was officiated over by Prof. Ali Ansari. The day began with an invocation of the goddess Saraswati, the deity of learning. Students demonstrated their skill in Poetry Recitation, dance, and singing reflecting the cultural vibrancy of India. The event concluded by a ramp walk as the grand finale. The most honoured guest, R.L. Raina (Vice Chancellor of Jaipur National University), addressed the students with words of motivation and inspiration and graced the occasion by his distinguished presence. Approximately twenty student performers participated in the activity. The purpose of this event was to celebrate the arrival of spring in the lap of nature, to keep the flame of learning alive, and to enjoy an afternoon of academic and spiritual revelry. Prof. Rana Zaidi, department head, has been a strong supporter of the event, paving the way for learning beyond the classroom.
