This academic report examines the significance and impact of the Shakespeare's Declamation Contest in educational settings. Therefore, The Young Readers & Writers Club, Jaipur National University fosters the spirit of creativity and healthy competition among its students. One such way to unleash the imagination of students is to celebrate events associated with reading and speaking. Shakespeare's Declamation event is all about enriching students’ language competency in terms of declaiming.

This year also the School of Languages, Literature and Society organized an event named “Shakespeare's Declamation Contest” under the aegis of Young Readers & Writers Club. The event was about declaiming famous lines from Shakespeare's plays.

The Director, School of Agriculture, Prof. R.S Bansal and Prof. Asgar Ansari Ali motivated the students. The Head of the Dept. Prof. (Dr). Rana Zaidi adjudicated the contest with her judicious, enlightening and encouraging notes.

The feedback was received from participants and the resource person. Students were extremely excited and enthusiastic about emulating the characters on stage. Resource person Prof. Bansal, Director, School of Agriculture, was highly impressed by students’ declaiming skills.

Around 18 students participated and displayed declaiming skill within them. The winners of the event were as follows:
