Microbiology has always been an important area to look forward to, as it has many career options which can be pursued by students to fulfill their needs and desire to work in the field of healthcare sector, drugs and vaccine designing, pharmaceutical, agriculture, medicine, food science, environment detoxification or remediation, etc. All these areas have loads of opportunities for the microbiologist, not just in research but in commercial aspects as well. The students who have the zeal to excel in microbiology are deemed to be successful in what ever area they take.
Thus, working with the tiny organism which is not just ideal system to study and understand, caters to the need of various fields specifically in isolation, identification, diagnosis and finally the treatment to that disease. So become a microbiologist to be a part of one the most important sub sectors of biology. If you could not, by chance, compete for your MBBS after your senior secondary school then do not worry. There is a better option for you. Choose Bio-chemistry, Bio-technology or Microbiology for your graduation and post graduation. You will find a better position than MBBS. If you complete your Ph.D in these fields then you can become the teacher of MBBS students. Only you have to labour hard.
