Alumni Meet

The Seedling School of Law and Governance campus was quite abuzz this weekend with its Alumni Meet on the 12th January, 2019. The event witnessed participation from over 10 alumni from across batches and programs. Speaking at the occasion, Prof T.N. Mathur, Director, Seedling School of Law and Governance, Jaipur National University While addressing the alumni, he praised their achievements in diverse spheres of life. He welcomed the alumni with his compassionate words and mentioned the object of holding the Alumni Meet. He reiterated that the alumni are the treasured assets of the University and were an important stakeholder in the process of the advancement of the institution. Dr. Mithilesh Vishwakarma, Head of the Seedling School of Law and Governance, Jaipur National University, said, “It is such an overwhelming and nostalgic feeling for all of us. Each one of you contributed to make SSLG a great place to learn. We would also like to thank all our alumni students for showing immense support towards the institute through various initiatives even after passing out.” He felt that it was a matter of great pride for Seedling School of Law and Governance, Jaipur National University that its alumni are holding prestigious positions in various Legal Organizations, Judiciary, Litigation, PSUs, Private Sector and Academic Institutions.

Welcoming the alumni, Mrs. Komal Audichya, Coordinator at SSLG, “During the inauguration ceremony we decided to leave one lamp unlit, to signify that there’s always a new idea, a new way of thinking, and I am surer it’s going to be a SSLG who comes up with it.” She expressed her sincere gratitude and appreciation towards all the alumni who travelled all the way from different parts of the country to become a part of this highly prestigious event of Seedling School of Law and Governance, Jaipur National University.

In the interaction, the alumni shared their experiences as well as interesting moments of campus life with the audience. Jatin Agarwal, 2008 Batch of Seedling School of Law and Governance, Jaipur National University, shared his experience during the time of Prof V.S. Mani, who was the founding Director of Seedling School of Law and Governance in 2007. Sharing his experience in SSLG, he said that whatever matters and issues were there, he and other students consult Prof VS Mani and Dr. Avinash Baghi. “Whatever we are today is because of Prof VS Mani”, Jatin said. He showed the documentary of the introduction of SSLG. Besides Jatin, Sahil Ahuja who was 2014 Batch of LLM and Anand Singh, 2017 Batch of LLM, shared their experiences of their life in SSLG. Sahil and Anand gave their respects to Prof VS Mani, Prof T.N. Mathur, Dr. Mithilesh Vishwakarma and Mrs. Komal Audichya. The Alumni Meet witnessed an active involvement of the alumni and a number of commendable suggestions and proposals were put forth by the participants. It was decided to strengthen the link between the current Seedling School of Law and Governance, Jaipur National University students and the alumni to facilitate alumni support in varied spheres like training, placement and career counseling. The interactive conclave session saw Alumni Students of SSLG gain an immense depth of understanding of the current scenario within the legal industry, and also the varied perspectives have traditional and new age legal agencies. Various cultural programs performed by the students of SSLG made the day vibrant and colorful. The cultural fiesta was followed by a series of alumni quiz, song, dances and a skit. The event sailed ahead with an entertaining programme with musical unplugged session. All the students shared their nostalgic memories of school days, felt gratitude towards it in perking up and paving their way towards a better life. A documentary on life of SSLG was shown to the alumni. 13 ex-students from different batches gathered to relive old and unforgettable memories. It was a time and event for old relationships to be cherished, celebrated, refreshed, and new ones to be formed. It was also a time of reflecting remembering the good old times and memories of the Alumni with new anticipation. An evening snacks was served at the end of the Alumni reunion. The Alumni meet culminated on a memorable note.

Besides the programme, the SSLG decided to form Alumi Association with Jatin Agarwal BALLB (Hons 2008 batch) as the President. Aniruddh Sharma BALLB (Hons) 2012 Batch as the Secretary, Mohit Sharma, BALLB (Hons) 2013 Batch as the Vice President, Sahil Ahuja LLM 2014 Batch as the Treasurer were made part of the Alumni Association
