JNU’s School of Education, in the spirit of the Indian Education Commission, believes that ‘No Nation can rise beyond its Teacher’ and has emerged as a premier educational institute of Pedagogical Studies and Research in the area of Education.

School of Education is the first institute in university circles of the state which introduced Educational Technology in terms of content analysis, concept mapping, use of Blooms Taxonomy and Constructivist Taxonomy for framing Course Outcomes, Instructional Objectives, classroom transactional techniques, assessment and evaluation of learning and teaching. Collaborative, cooperative, constructivist student centric and group centric approaches are common for increasing participating learning. Smart classes, Online classes, Portfolio and assignment presentations with reflective feedback and mentoring practices are essential for improving quality of teaching and learning.  The faculty is a singularly impressive group of scholars, researchers and practitioners actively working to improve the state of education , exploring new frontiers in learning and teaching.

School of Education provides viable platforms for its students to perform in a wide range of academic, professional, cultural and social activities. Every year mega events like International Conferences, National Seminars, Workshops and Panel Discussions Field-trips, Academic Exchange Programmes, Inter university cultural and technical fest, Technorazz, NSS, Scout and Guide Camps are organized which provide live experiences of academic, professional and social issues and provides vicarious experiences for developing the wholesome personality of our students.

Yoga and health education, peace and value education, courses of arts and music, guidance and counseling, psychological testing, ICT and computer application, language learning increase the multidimensional proficiencies of the students.
