India Food Tourism Organisation (IFTO) is a not for profit, industry led organisation to promote Food & Culinary Tourism Industry of India. It is registered under Indian Societies Registration Act of 1860. Driven by the members of the Indian industry comprising of Travel Agents, Tour Operators, Chefs, Restaurants, Food chains and other stake holders from Food & Culinary sector, IFTO plays the role of a catalyst to shape the business eco-system of Indian Food tourism industry and make the culinary potential of India as one of the major USPs to increase tourism in the country. It's likely to focus on promoting culinary tourism in India, highlighting the rich diversity of Indian cuisine and culinary traditions to both domestic and international travelers. This might involve organizing food festivals, culinary tours, cooking workshops, and other activities aimed at showcasing India's gastronomic heritage.

Broad Objectives and Scope OF MoU :

  • Competencies: The Hotel Management Diploma / PG Diploma / graduation / Post Graduation Holders from the institutions could play a key role in professional &technological up-gradation, innovation and competitiveness in the field of Hospitality.
  • Curriculum Design: IFTO will give valuable inputs to the JNU, Jaipur in teaching / training methodology and suitably customize the curriculum so that the students fit into the Hotel industries meaningfully.
  • Industrial Training & Visits: Industry and Institution interaction will give an insight in to the latest developments / requirements of the industries; IFTO to permit the Faculty and Students of the JNU, Jaipur to visit its group projects and also involve in Industrial Training Programs. The industrial training and exposure provided to students and faculty through this association will build confidence and prepare the students to have a smooth transition from academic to working career.
  • Research and Development: Both Parties have agreed to carry out the joint research activities in the fields of modern gastronomy in all type of hotel service.
  • Skill Development Programs: Both party will train the students of JNU, Jaipur on the emerging technologies in order to bridge the skill gap and make them industry ready.
  • Guest Lectures: IFTO will the necessary support to deliver guest lecturers to the students on the technology trends and in house requirements.
  • Faculty Development Programs: IFTO train the Faculties for imparting training as per the industrial requirement considering the National Occupational Standards in concerned sector, if available.
  • Placement of Trained Students: IFTO will actively engage to help the delivery of the training and placement of students into internships/jobs; and will help placements of the students.
