More than 45 students and two faculty members of B.Tech (FT) and B.Tech (CH) of School of Engineering & Technology, visited Jaipur Dairy (SARAS) at Malviya Nagar, Jaipur on 26-October-2018. During their visit students learnt about various equipments and methods of analysis used in Milk and Milk products processing, for e.g., Pasteurizer, Cream Separators, Homogenizer, Butter churner, Plate-form analysis of raw Milk, Paneer (Indian Cottage Cheese) preparation, their packaging and dispatch using refrigerated vans. Jaipur Dairy sells its milk & milk products through a network of over 5,327 retail outlets spread over Jaipur city and nearby 100 towns. Jaipur Dairy has taken utmost care to satisfy and delight its customers and consumers. The main products manufactured in the unit include Pouched Milk, Flavoured Milk, Dahi (curd), Chachh (Salted Butter-milk), Lassi (Sweet Butter Milk), Milk Powder, Paneer and many more traditional dairy products. Students learnt about the receiving of raw milk in industry, it’s processing through pasteurization, Homogenization and Standardization and storage. Student also visited butter, Ghee and Paneer manufacturing sections and take an idea of their manufacturing process and equipment used for its preparation. Overall it was good learning experience for both faculty members and students.

Internet of Things using NodeMCU & Rasberry Pi3 The Department of Computer Science Engineering has planned a workshop for B.Tech(CSE) V Semester students on “Internet of Things using NodeMCU & Rasberry Pi3”. The delegate is a famous name in corporate training and he is chief trainer at RCPL, Noida.

Timings : 9.00 a.m. to 3.30 p.m.
Date: 23 September 2017
A workshop was conducted by members of RCPL community on 23rd September, 2017 in SADTM campus for the CS branch students on Internet of Things (IOT) and Python. The main objective behind the workshop was to share new trends in IT sector and moreover to give basic knowledge of python as well as IOT with practical approach.
All Students of B.Tech CS V semester attended the workshop. From RCPL, Mr. Mukesh, Director, Mr. Jeetendra, Python Trainer and Mr. Rohan, IoT trainer were present to train the students. There were session on Python, and its applicability in IoT. Python's use in demonstration using a micro-controller and Raspberry pi3 and their uses in the field of IOT.

The Department of Chemical Engineering students attended the international course under GIAN program entitled on “Physical-Chemical Processes for Water and Wastewater Treatment,” which is held on August 21-26 at MNIT, Jaipur. The international course provided the opportunity to our students to seek knowledge through interactive technical sessions from reputed International faculty.

The international course covered the principles of physical and chemical treatment processes and is very important in design, engineering practice and problem solving. However, the topics related to physical and chemical treatment processes are traditionally educated by linking them with either drinking water or wastewater treatment, and material covered are often either too simple or too complicated. Therefore, it is often difficult for students to gain a comprehensive picture of the related principles.

The course introduced the key concepts and major topics of physical and chemical treatment processes, including reaction kinetics, mass balance, reactor fundamentals, water and wastewater quantities and quality, process flow sheets, preliminary treatment unit operations, coagulation/flocculation, separation technologies (e.g., sedimentation, filtration, membrane processes), sorption/ion exchanger, mass transfer, oxidation/reduction, and photolysis/ photo catalysis processes. Design of physical and chemical treatment processes along with case studies. Further, the course attendee’s capability enhanced to identify critical issues related to physical and chemical treatment processes in environmental engineering. And also, developed the attendee’s ability to design some physical and chemical treatment processes/systems associated with drinking water and wastewater treatment facilities.

The event Convener was Dr. Chander Kanwar Palawat and Coordinator was Ms. Sadhvi Negi.

Students & Faculty from School of Fashion Design visited Bagru on 24th April 2017. Students learned various process use in dabu print, a mud – resist hand block printing of Rajasthan. They also learned use of natural dyes and vegetable pastes, hand block printing & screen printing Process.

Visit to bagru - School of fashion design

A one day visit for students of B.Tech Biotechnology to ICAR-Central Sheep and Wool Research Institute, Avikanagar, Rajasthan was organized to make students acquainted with applications of Animal Biotechnology. Practically observing functioning of high- throughput instruments used in field of Biotechnology, including Real Time PCR, Inverted Microscopy, Animal Cell Culture facilities and Germ Cell preservation using liquid Nitrogen was a great encouragement for students enhancing their practical skills and knowledge. The trip was full fun a whole day.
