Bachelor of Commerce i.e. B.Com. Degree is designed to provide the student with a wide range of managerial skills while at the same time building competence in a commerce. The curriculum thus focuses both on academic subjects, such as Statistics or Economics, as well as practical business subjects, such as Accountancy, Law, Management, Marketing, Finance, etc.

The emphasis of the program is to impart specialized knowledge and skill sets in the industry preferred areas of Finance, Accounting and Taxation, with a view to provide careers in financial markets and services like

Note: With B.Com. a student will have an option to pursue Chartered Accountancy, Cost Accountancy, Company Secretary, Chartered Financial Analyst, Financial Planner and Management Accountancy.

Bachelor of Commerce is a added course which covers a lot of things right from accounting, taxation, finance, banking, insurance, marketing management to human resource management.

The general eligibility criteria for B.Com includes –

  • Students must have passed 10+2 examination with at least 55% marks or above.
  • The institution where they have had their education must be recognized

No. B.Com is a regular course for which you will receive a Bachelor degree after completion.

Both the courses are good at their own place. BBA gives you a knowledge and specialisation in management however B.Com gives you a knowledge and specialisation in finance and accounts with a brief about its application in management. The choice should be based on what you like and want to make your career in.

It a three years Bachelor's degree that executes in three parts:

  • B.Com Part I – First Year – Semester I & II
  • B.Com Part II - Second year – Semester III & IV
  • B.Com Part III - Third or Final year – Semester V & VI

The Fees is Rs 44000 per annum excluding the examination fees. The total approximate expenditure may be Rs 48000 per annum which varies with student to student and the facilities availed by them.

B.Com is a broader course as compared to B.Com(H). B.Com(H) is a specialisation course of B.Com, in which student gets a deep knowledge of some specific subjects and management. In B.Com, student study all the subjects with broader prospect and interrelating them.
