Pharm. D. Doctor of pharmacy

The Pharm.D course offered by the School of Pharmaceutical Science, one of the best Pharm. D Colleges in Rajasthan, is a professional Doctor of pharmacy that focuses on core pharmacy courses in the first two years, followed by four years in the clinical setup. Through this course, the students acquire skills in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, selection and therapeutic usage of drugs, and monitoring of patients. Some prominent employment areas of this course include jobs in colleges and universities, pharmaceutical companies, private practice firms, hospital franchises, and self-employment.

  • The job avenues are manifold for a pharmacist, for example, in the industry, academics, hospitals, investigation, research institutes, and development of various areas in the Government sector.
  • In government organizations, a pharmacist maintains proper records according to various government Acts governing the profession of pharmacy.
  • Employment opportunities are galore in cosmetic industries and pharma industries for quality assurance and maintaining safety standards.
  • They can also register with the state pharmacy council, to set up and run their own pharmacy or chemist shops.
  • Drug control administration and armed forces also offer a range of opportunities to pharmacists.
  • After doing M.Pharm or Ph.D., the students are normally absorbed in research work, to develop useful drugs and production work in pharmaceutical industries and analysing them for purity and strength.
  • Opportunities are also available in sales promotion work as Medical Representatives.
  • They can work as drug inspectors to ensure the quality of drugs.
  • They can also work in government dispensaries, CHC and PHC.
  • Students with master’s degrees in pharmacy may also take up teaching as a profession in pharmacy colleges and universities.
