B.Tech. Mechanical Engineering + MBA B.Tech ME + MBA

School of Engineering & Technology

B.Tech. plus MBA integrated course is a postgraduate level qualification targeted for students who can complete their B.Tech. Biomedical Engineering bridges between biomedical science and engineering. It involves the application of engineering principles to create solutions for healthcare and generally concerns with the development and design of medical products. Biomedical engineers collaborate with doctors and researchers to develop medical systems, equipment or devices that can solve clinical problems. Biomedical engineers not just create equipment and devices, but computer systems and software used in healthcare as well. Finally, students would be exposed to healthy management practices along with theoretical constructs

Learning Perspective

  • Mathematics, science, and engineering fundamentals expertise at the interface of engineering and the life sciences which enables them to take leadership roles in the field of biomedical engineering
  • An ability to use their multidisciplinary background to foster communication across professional and disciplinary boundaries with the highest professional and ethical standards
  • The ability to recognize the limits of their knowledge and initiate self-directed learning opportunities to be able to continue to identify and create professional opportunities for themselves in the field of biomedical engineering

  • Helps in exploring career opportunities in their areas of interest.
  • Simulate theoretical knowledge gained by the students during the semester with the practical aspects necessary for a student to be fit to face the fierce competitive industrial environment.

Career Prospects

Biomedical engineers usually get employed in the industry (healthcare, medical instrument, biomedical, pharmaceutical), hospitals, research organizations (including CROs), academia, and the government sector. Biomedical engineers often liaise and/or coordinate with medical doctors, clinicians, biomedical scientists, and healthcare professionals. Biomedical engineers use their expertise in engineering, life science, and medical fields.
