The Electrical Engineering programme provides knowledge about electricity and its various applications. The course also deals with the concepts of electronics and electromagnetism. Some of the important subjects that are taught to the students include Power System, Circuit Analysis, Power Electronics, Control System, etc. The course teaches the students about the functions of various electrical components. The students will get to know how to use the electric components to develop major electrical equipment.

  • The graduates will be able to deal with the study of application of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism.
  • The graduates will develop to design electric circuits and equipment.
  • They work on large power plants as well in small hardware companies which includes designing, manufacturing and operating power plants, industrial machinery, electrical motors, computer chips and ignition systems for automobiles, aircrafts, space crafts and all kinds of engines.
  • The graduates will have a strong foundation in acoustics, speech, signal processing to electromagnetic compatibility, automobiles to vehicular technology, geo-science and remote sensing, laser and electro-optics, robotics, ultra-sonic, ferroelectrics and frequency control.

The Summer Training is an integral part of School of Business and Management and aims at achieving the following objectives:

Power Engineers having specialized skills in microelectronics design and manufacture very small power circuits used in computers and other electronic devices.
