International Youth Day 2019
MSW Students and Alumni Association of School of Social Sciences conducted a open stage function at WTP on International Youth Day 2019 i.e August 12,2019.
The power of youth is the common wealth for the entire world. The faces of young people are the faces of our past, our present and our future. No segment in the society can match with the power, idealism, enthusiasm and courage of the young people.
To celebrate this amazing day with the youth of JAIPUR CITY, an event was organised by Miss. Monisha Lalu and Mr. Manish Dhillon, (professional social worker and journalist) at WORLD TRADE PARK by show casing the young talents through organising OPEN MIC where many young writers narrated their thoughts through poetry, speech, stand-up comedy, and shero shyari.
The objective to organise this event is to break the silence and to speak against the social issues faced in the society. To support us, WORLD VISION INDIA, (working among children and women for health and hygiene and education all over the world) and ALL INDIA WELFARE SOCIETY (working with youth and children and environment) supported us by telling the ground level work these organisations are doing in slums, cities and urban areas.
To add more joy and zeal to the event, Miss Ritujain, youth accountable advocate and Mr. Rohit Jain, motivational speaker and gold medallist in PARA OLYMPICS for INDIA, joined us by encouraging ouraudience by their life testimony.
The event turned out to be great success, at the end all the participants and volunteers were awarded with appreciation certificates by our guests.
Our generation is filled with the colours of multiple talents, they need to fly high, hearing their voice and giving them platform to become someone is what we aim for. We look forward, together we take these steps to make toady a better tomorrow.
