Industrial visit of Department of Food Technology to DS Dairy plant

During the visit to D S Group (Dairy Division), Sikar, Rajasthan on 18th September 2019, students learned about the manufacturing of milk, butter, ghee, milk powder, curd, butter milk and observed the processing steps like receiving, clarification, standardization, homogenization, pasteurization, filling, packing and dispatch of milk products.

Students observed the use of machines and equipments like pasteurizer, homogenizer, cream separator, spray dryer, blender, mixers, retort, cold storage, incubators, refrigerated vans etc. They also observed the hygiene, cleanliness and food safety features of the Industry.
