Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Anjana Sharma has more than 37 years of teaching and 40 years of research experience. She was Head of the Department, Dean Faculty of Life Sciences at Rani Durgavati University, Jabalpur. She was also Coordinator NAAC & IQAC, Prof. Incharge of Academics, Development, etc. She has been nominated by State and Central Government in various bodies including NAAC and UGC teams. She is recipient of UNECO & UGC BSR fellowships.
Prof. Sharma obtained Ph.D degree in Botany with specialization in Bacteriology. Her research specialization is in the field of Environmental Microbiology & Biotechnology Applications, Bacterial Biodiversity, Hydrocarbon Degradation, Co2 Sequestration, Bioactive Compounds from medicinal plants against human pathogens. She has also worked in the field of food technology for acrylamide mitigation.
Prof. Sharma has in depth experience in setting up laboratory for cutting edge research. She has more than 140 publications with high impact factor in reputed international and national journals. More than 48 research scholars have been awarded Ph.D under her guidance. She has published 05 books and many review articles and edited 05 books.She has also completed more than 18 projects sanctioned by various national agencies such as UGC, DBT, DST, CSIR, ICMR etc.
