Physics is a fundamental natural science. Besides exploring and identifying the basic principles and laws governing the motion, energy, structure and interaction of matter, it also deals with the pertinent questions about today's era of science and technology. Physics labs covers the vast areas of research in mechanics, properties of matter, heat, sound, electricity, and magnetism, light, modern physics etc.

The course is designed to provide advanced concepts of basic Physics in first semesters concentrating on developing the basic digital and analog electronics. The second semester is designed to provide experience of handling minor electronics projects and to impart additional knowledge of Nuclear, Quantum and spectroscopy. The third semester encompasses the advanced concepts of digital and microwave electronics and statistics along with programming skill development through MATLAB. The fourth semester is specifically targeted to further strengthen the knowledge of Electronics, Microwave and Communications along with a major project in Electronics.
