School of Education has a goal to sculpt the teachers who are functionaries with professional excellence as well as humane sensitivity. The present syllabus is prepared in the light of NCTE's vision 2009 â€œCurriculum Framework for Teacher Educationâ€ and view point given in NCF-2005 developed by NCERT.
The new perspective of the syllabus caters to the needs of different types of learners, roles, responsibilities, commitment and accountability of teachers, need of community and teaching process at different levels. It emphasizes on participatory interactive process, critical thinking, and development of core qualities. It is devoted to provide fundamental concepts and conceptual inputs facilitating transition from theory to practice.
