On the occasion of National Science Day, school organized an Alumni-Guest lecture on the topic “GENETIC AWARENESS” GENEcom-2020 at SIILAS Auditorium. The eminent speaker was Ms. Priya Yadav, (MD & CEO, CheckDNA, EXCENTRIC DIAGNOSTICS PVT. LTD). Clinical Diagnostics Services & Training Center interacted with 250 students and Faculty members of School of Life & Basic Sciences. She discussed the basics of molecular biology and also introduced the students with advance experimental procedures such as the PCR method, which is widely applied for the detection of hereditary diseases, such as neurological and metabolic/endocrine disorders, infection with pathogenic bacteria/viruses, and cancer as well as for individual identification/ and the Chromosomal abnormalities.
