A very popular annual event, The Shakespeare’s Declamation Contest was hosted on 19th March, 24 by the School of Languages, Literature and Society under the aegis of Young Readers & Writers Club, provides students with a unique opportunity to enhance their language skills through dramatic speeches and role plays. Participants bring to life iconic characters and scenes from Shakespeare’s masterpieces, including Macbeth, Othello, Richard II, and Romeo & Juliet. This event allows students to immerse themselves in the beauty and complexity of Shakespeare’s language while developing their public speaking, performance, and interpretation abilities.
By engaging in this theatrical experience, students not only strengthen their verbal expression and articulation but also deepen their appreciation for classic literature. The contest fosters creativity, boosts confidence, and encourages a deeper understanding of Shakespearean works.
